MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR MAN
BOTOX® Cosmetic
Botox for Men is a Popular Cosmetic Procedure
BOTOX® aren’t just for women. Men are also realizing the importance of looking their best at any age. Neuromodulators relax the muscles, smoothing deep lines and folds that are caused by a lifetime of facial muscle contractions.
There are many areas that men’s Botox can be used to treat:
- Smoothing forehead frown lines
- Crows feet
- Reducing gummy smiles
- Lifting nose tips
- Eyebrow raising
- Jowl reduction and neck tightening
- Hyperhidrosis (Excessive sweating)
Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Don’t consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to your treatment as alcohol may thin the blood and increase your risk of bruising.
- Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications for a period of at least 2 weeks before treatment as they can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
- Scheduled your Botox appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event you may be attending, such as a wedding or vacation, since the results can take up to 4-7 days to appear.
- Discontinue Retin-A 2 days before and 2 days after your treatment.
- Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish on the treatment area. (If you have a history of cold sores, talk to your provider as they may put you on antiviral medication prior to treatment.)
- Be sure to have a good breakfast, including food and drink, before your cosmetic treatment. This will decrease your chances of lightheadedness during the treatment.
- You are not a suitable candidate if you’re breastfeeding or pregnant.
Post-Treatment Instructions
In order to reduce the amount of bruising and/or swelling you might get from the injection sites following your Dermal Filler treatment, please follow the instructions below:

Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers for men is a Popular Cosmetic Procedure
Another treatment popular with our male clients is Dermal filler treatments. Dermal fillers effectively reduce and soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles, create volume to lift and to contour.
And again, all of these can be carried out very quickly during a lunchtime or after work. Popular treatments for men are:
- Cheek contouring
- Chin and jaw line definition
- Non-surgical rhinoplasty
- Eye rejuvenation (dark hollows and circles)
- Deep lines and scars
Pre-Treatment Instructions

Dermal fillers last, on average, 6-12 months. It is recommended at the time of your treatment to schedule your next appointment for optimal anti-aging benefits. The most typical side effects (bruising, swelling, redness) are temporary and will resolve. However, please call the office to notify us if you experience any additional side effects.
